Mikael joined Grundfos as Group Executive Vice President and CFO in 2014.
After originally training as a lawyer with law firm Kromann Reumert in Denmark and Belgium, Mikael has held numerous financial leadership roles in the last 25 years.
From 1997 to 2007 Mikael worked at Rockwool International A/S culminating in a 4-year role as Vice President, Group Controlling. Three subsequent years followed as CFO in Ørsted’s Thermal Power & Wind Power business, before Mikael worked as an independent consultant from 2011-14 specialising in managing complex transactions such as M&A, divestments, restructuring and business development, large contractual arrangements, partnerships, outsourcing and more.
Mikael is currently Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of Kredsløb, a utility company owned by Aarhus Municipality who operate recycling & waste and district heating & energy services, and work with contributing to the green transition.
