FAQ

Question: What is domestic hot water recirculation?

Answer:

Domestic hot water recirculation is a solution widely used in plumbing systems to provide instant hot water at fixtures, such as faucets and showers, by circulating hot water through the hot water pipes.

Additional information:

In a system without hot water recirculation, the hot water standing in the pipeline between the water heater and the fixtures gets cold. Once the fixture is opened, the water has to be drained out of the system before fresh hot water reaches the fixture. Depending on the volume of the pipeline, this may take up to two minutes and even more in large installations.
