Question: Is it possible to safely operate Grundfos industrial pumps outdoors without weather protection?
Answer:
In order to increase the service life of both pump and motor, weather protection should always be provided. For instance, this may take the form of a simple rain cover in order to protect the pump against raindrops, or thermal insulation integrated into the housing with a heater in order to shield the pump against frost.
