About us
Meet Deepa – our puppy-loving learning expert
Deepa Anand Kumar, Senior Learning & Development Specialist
Who am I
I joined Grundfos India in 2007 after studying Production Engineering and gaining a few years’ work experience in that field. I’ve always been extremely passionate about serving the people and taking care of the planet: two passions of mine that I share with Grundfos. I began my career here as a Marketing Executive, but since then, my Grundfos journey has taken me all the way from our manufacturing unit over to Training Solutions Specialist to Senior Learning & Development specialist.
How I make a difference
Being a Learning & Development specialist, I take pride in contributing to Grundfos employees’ personal growth through learning and development. This means that I’m responsible for coordinating learning and development activities, as well as developing learning strategies on both a broad organisational level and a personal, employee level. I also support the outside world by engaging with external customers and students, with a focus on how they and Grundfos can contribute to making the world a better place.
The thing that drives me is that I come in every morning with the purpose of making myself and the world a little bit better than it was yesterday
What I love most about my job
I simply love the Grundfos culture and all the support I receive from my colleagues. Everyone is equal here. Therefore, you can always ask for help with even the smallest things. Your colleagues are always there. Also, if you make a mistake – we can always be open and honest with each other. Even though I work solely remotely, I have not experienced the slightest problem with working from a distance. Instead, the latest technology allows me to collaborate with my colleagues from wherever I want.
I’ve always had a go-do attitude and embrace all challenges – even in areas that I am not familiar with. Furthermore, I’m incredibly passionate about serving the people and taking care of the planet. For me, this is more than just a job. The thing that drives me is that I come in every morning with the purpose of making myself and the world a little bit better than it was yesterday, and I have the opportunity to do so in a workplace like Grundfos.
My dreams for the future
In the future, I want to continue doing something for the people at Grundfos. I am currently involved with a couple of AI projects as we strive to bring Artificial Intelligence to production. But on a larger scale, I dream of giving something back to Grundfos since I have been given so much throughout my years here. So, I dream of making Grundfos the company in which I retire and keep contributing and working towards making an impact across the board.
Advice for future colleagues
In my opinion, Grundfos is the safest place to work, learn and grow – especially for female employees. I can guarantee you that you’ll learn a lot from us, but I can also guarantee you that we are looking forward to learning a lot from you. Also, Grundfos is full of opportunities for career development. Personally, I’ve had many different positions and have felt welcomed and appreciated everywhere. I feel extremely lucky to be a part of this culture, and I strongly believe that you will be as well.
Fun fact
Besides being very passionate about my work and Grundfos, I am a Blue Cross Volunteer. I simply love to take care of animals, especially puppies. But honestly, who wouldn’t love to take care of puppies?!
