Exploring What Comes NEXT

In today’s fast-paced digital era, Grundfos continues to lead the charge with innovative, digital solutions designed to optimize performance and streamline operations. By embracing digitalization, you not only enhance value for our customers but also streamline your services and the efficiency of the installer.

An ever-growing digital infrastructure

Imagine having access to data through LIN-BUS enabled digital features at an appliance level. Or be able to provide a proactive service by monitoring one or more appliances via an app, detecting issues even before the end user is aware of them. Maybe imagine a future where you have the ability to consolidate data from various systems and households and even monitor entire neighbourhoods, providing streamlined service to more than individual households.

Our vision is for our OEM customers to have a unified digital ecosystem that includes the above-mentioned features and much more, spanning across the value chain, appliance systems, and cloud-based infrastructure systems. Today, we already have a wide variety of integrated digitally enabled product features on an appliance level for diagnostics and improved monitoring. From algorithmic heat pump control to real-time flow and predictive maintenance, experience continuous diagnostics that ensure optimal system performance, resource efficiency and diagnostic analysis, helping installers give homeowners ultimate peace of mind.

Grundfos AUTOADAPT

UMP4 and UPM10 come with newer, more intelligent AUTOADAPT algorithms, capable of estimating your heating system’s resistance, outdoor temperature monitoring, and heating curve optimisation for greater system performance, easier commissioning and lower energy consumption.

GO Balance

Connecting UMP4 and UPM10 to GO Balance’s special balancing algorithm helps detect flow changes in real-time, making it easy to balance radiator valves or floor heating remotely, with intuitive in-app guidance to simplify the overall process. This enables greater comfort, energy efficiency and more accurate commissioning.

Air detection

With its intelligent air detection algorithm, UMP4 and UPM10 can assess and detect air bubbles circulating in the water. And ensures diagnostic input in the shortest time possible for optimal system efficiency and indoor comfort.

Low flow signal

Simplify your system and reduce components with the low flow feature. Get a warning if the flow is too low to ensure reliable flow estimation feedback. And eliminate data uncertainty and enhance accuracy with improved control box calibration – all whilst experiencing quick response times for a more streamlined system.

Hydraulic resistance monitoring

UMP4 and UPM10’s hydraulic resistance monitoring allows users to predict and diagnose fouling systems before they even occur, detecting blocked heat exchangers, magnetite in the filter, and more. When combined with Predictive Maintenance, general diagnostics will improve appliance monitoring via cloud data, giving the installer newer, more advanced tools to secure homeowner peace of mind.
