Grundfos Supplier Award 2007 to ESK Ceramics GmbH & Co. KG

Since 1998 Grundfos has worked closely together with German manufacturer of seal rings, bearings and radial bearings, ESK Ceramics GmbH & Co. KG, today owned by American Ceradyne.

ESK Ceramics had close co-operation with Grundfos about the development of a new material for the components and, despite initial difficulties, they succeeded in getting an approval of the material, which today is a standard in Grundfos’ CR pumps.

Based on great efforts and goodwill by both parties, today there is close and firm co-operation between ESK Ceramics and Grundfos. This co-operation is today so firmly established that the company was selected for the Grundfos Supplier Award 2007. The reason for choosing ESK Ceramics is, among other things:

”Today ESK Ceramics is one of the most important suppliers for Grundfos’ CR production and the company is involved in several new projects for various pump applications. The managing of so many projects requires a lot of resources but, with Key Account Manager, Heiko Schultz, and his team at the helm at ESK Ceramics there are no problems and Grundfos can always be certain that all details are taken care of.”

In addition Grundfos emphasises the extremely high quality characteristic of the award winner.

The prize was awarded on 15 January 2008 by Grundfos Group Purchase Director Klavs Hornum to ESK Ceramics representatives, Sales and Marketing Director Barbara Schaaf, Senior Manager Sven Schweizer, Senior Production Manager Jeff Janssen and Key Account Manager Heiko Schultz.
