About us

Meet Marina – our curious supervisor

Marina Kačar, Trade Planning Supervisor

Who am I

Before I joined Grundfos in 2015 as a Supply Planner, I heard great recommendations about the company culture and opportunities it offers to its employees. Just about eight months after I joined, I became Production Planner, after that, Tactical Planner, and then Supply Chain Specialist. For the last two years, I’ve worked as a Trade Planning Supervisor. After seven years at Grundfos, I can say that I have not only significantly grown and developed professionally, but I have also grown as a person through each one of the five positions.

What drives me

Even though working in Supply Chain can be challenging, Grundfos makes sure that employees have the right tools to complete their tasks and face any challenges they might run into. I find curiosity to be my main driver in everything I do. It’s important that people stay interested and inspired to learn new things, because there are plenty of processes both locally and globally to discover.

Grundfos has many development programmes. This combined with my colleagues’ experiences and the ‘fresh perspectives’ from new graduates creates the perfect recipe to ensure a variety of skill sets and keep up with new trends. It is only on us to recognise those opportunities.

How I make a difference

Supply Chain is a rather dynamic sphere of work and vital when it comes to the customer-centric approach that is part of our strategy. We need to make fast decisions and solve challenges to ensure efficient communication flow which is always a priority. We introduce new processes and find solutions to improve the way we operate. Overall, we have a great responsibility as we are the connection between our customers and production.

Before becoming a supervisor, I was an internal trainer, and I did quite a bit of mentorship within Grundfos which has helped me with my current role. I enjoy helping people develop their skills and competences, so they can find their true calling professionally. Everything I do at work I try to do in a way to positively impact my colleagues and team members. I believe that good team atmosphere comes top-down from leadership positions.

Collaborative culture

What motivates me most is the positive atmosphere when we as one team build and accomplish things together. Open communication and transparency motivate me to come to work every day and go beyond expectations. For me, it’s important that my colleagues feel well and have all the support they need so they can enjoy doing their job.

Furthermore, the knowledge sharing is at the highest level. There are colleagues who have been working for Grundfos for over 30 years, and exchanging knowledge and experiences with them is priceless. Also sharing know-how practices with different plants outside of Serbia really shows how we work as one team across borders. Everyone is so approachable and open to support one another.

Fun fact

I wanted to become a teacher when I was younger, and funnily enough, I’m a trainer now and have the privilege to pass on my knowledge to my team.
