Energy efficiency transformation at River City Bangkok
The Situation
River City Bangkok, a 30-year-old renowned art gallery in the heart of the city, was facing a challenge. Their aging chiller pumps becoming inefficient, leading to higher energy consumption, increased operating costs and maintenance. The gallery's management aimed to achieve energy savings, enhance system efficiency, and reduce operational expenses while minimizing upfront investments.
The Outcome
After implementation, the results were impressive. The energy consumption was reduced by 29% compared to the previous pumps, alleviating the previous maintenance challenges faced by River City Bangkok. The energy efficiency overhaul also achieved an approximate annual reduction of 47,000 kg CO2 emissions.
The improved efficiency and reduced maintenance contributed to seamless and cost-effective operation for River City Bangkok. What set this solution apart was that the project was financed by Grundfos through shared realized savings. This innovative approach allowed the gallery to take steps towards a net-zero operation, aligning with their sustainability goals.
Linda Cheng, Managing Director of River City Bangkok, expressed her satisfaction with the project outcomes, saying, "We are impressed with the savings delivered by Grundfos, which has helped us reduce our operational costs significantly."
