Talks about the sun
12-Oct-2011
Last week Chinese solar pioneer Huang Ming was guest in the HVAC OEM division of Grundfos in Bjerringbro, Denmark.
Mr. Huang Ming is the Chairman of Himin Solar Corporation in China, the world’s largest manufacturer of solar panels and solar heating units. During his stay at Grundfos headquarters he also held a speech, when the Grundfos Prize was given to a solar researcher and he shared his views on the future challenges, when it comes to using the sun as energy-source.
As a former oil engineer Mr. Ming started rethinking energy sources already in 1986 while he founded his first own solar thermal company. Mr. Ming is today seen worldwide as one of the most visonary minds in future architecture.
While the comfort of housings and commercial buildings in China is steadily raising the technology is shifting in solarthermal as well from pure thermosyphon to pumped systems. That is where adjusted pump technology for customised solutions are now of utmost interest of solar manufacturers like Himin Solar Corporation.
Grundfos HVAC OEM strong set up also in China
- The day we spent with Mr. Huang Ming at the headquarters was a great honour and pleasure for both of us. Here on our homebase we are able to show the wide scale of opportunities, but HVAC OEM has also focused on a strong set up in production as well as in the R&D in China itself since 2010. We are responding on every specific customised solution now locally with a professional team, explained Henrik Bonde, the Vice President of the HVAC OEM division.
