Jan Ø. Jørgensen to help Grundfos push perfect water pressure for Chinese consumers
29-Mar-2017
Teaming up with Jan Ø. Jørgensen – the current world number two men’s singles badminton player – gives Grundfos the opportunity to connect with a huge audience in China, to show homeowners and installers the benefits of perfect water pressure. Perfect water pressure in all taps, no matter how many taps and showers are in use at the same time, is what the new Grundfos product – the compact, fully-integrated booster pump, SCALA2 – can provide.
“It is not difficult to see why badminton and Grundfos go so well together: we share a sense of fair play, ambition and a desire to succeed – and these are values Jan Ø. Jørgensen brings to the badminton court,” explains Gitte Kirkeby Søe, Group Director, Branding at Grundfos, and continues:
“Our focus with this agreement is the launch of SCALA2, enabling us to reach a huge audience in China via the two international tournaments; Denmark Open in October and China Open in November. SCALA2 is an important product for the Asian and Chinese markets, where the need to reduce water and energy consumption is urgent.”
Jan Ø. Jørgensen is no stranger to achieving at the highest level. As a three-time Danish champion, European Champion in 2014, winner of the Indonesian Open in 2014, and with a host of Super Series titles, Jan Ø. Jørgensen is perfectly placed to help Grundfos communicate this important message in China and Asia generally, where badminton is particularly strong.
“When I’m competing on the international circuit against many of the finest players in the world, I need to stay true to my values and who I am,” says Jan Ø. Jørgensen, and concludes:
“My sense of purpose and drive to succeed is balanced by a feeling of shared responsibility to the world we live in. These values are shared by Grundfos, and I am proud to support Grundfos in launching a product that helps resolve many of the important issues we face with water and energy use in the world today.”
