Grundfos focusses on fire for Cairo CBS event
07-May-2018
Grundfos turned the heat up on fire issues for it’s latest Commercial Building Services Event in Cairo on 29th and 30th April.
Organised in partnership with Tornatech, the specialist manufacturer of fire pump controllers and Arabian Engineering Business (AEB) Grundfos’s Egyptian service partner and stockist, the two-day event was aimed at engineers working in the building services sector.
It was part of an ongoing programme of events throughout Egypt, designed to highlight the high cost and dangers associated with the old and inefficient pumping systems that still blight many of the region’s commercial buildings.
In the first seminar to specifically target fire-related issues, Grundfos explained the crucial importance of high quality, reliable fire protection and fire-fighting systems in protecting life, buildings and other key assets, underlining its position as a complete one-stop-shop for fire pump solutions, with the world’s largest approved range of fire pumps meeting all national and international standards.
After a short break and opportunity for questions, Tornatech took the floor, with a detailed presentation on fire pump controllers, prior to a fire fighting system workshop, hosted at Grundfos competence center in Egypt.
Delegates were given the opportunity to see and discuss at first hand examples from the Grundfos range of residential sprinkler pumps, fire sets and pumps for hydrants and wet risers, as well as Fire Packaged Pump Houses, which are specially engineered to meet individual site requirements.
The event ended with a workshop which delegates were able to discuss specific pump-related problems and issues with Grundfos and AEB technical experts on a 1- o-1 basis, prior to a closing lunch and the opportunity to network and exchange knowledge with opposite numbers from the wide range of different industries and sectors represented on the day.
